48/365 Two Eighteen Twenty Ten: Shifting Winds

There comes a moment in February down here where there's no turning back. Today, 51 degrees. Tomorrow, 57. It may get colder again for a day or two, but we have turned the corner. A friend said her rose bushes have tiny buds. I can see the green tufts of daffodil beginnings all around. I'm happy to let my firewood season on the porch. I am SO READY.

we are still struggling with fog and clouds and rain -- and we can use the moisture due to drought, so there is some good in it. but some of the local trees are blossoming out, and that always makes me feel so hopeful.

Brr, it's chilly here and not at all spring like. I wish it would hurry up, I'm done with winter now!

We have another 2 1/2 months to go before we really start to see signs of spring. And it's been a long, long, cold, cold winter here. Phooey.

Hurray! I think we have finally turned the corner here, too (maybe)! I'm looking forward to moving all of my tropical plants back outside where they belong.

I hope you enjoy your springtime!

Signs of spring? Wow.

I have to admit, I'm a bit envious.

It was snowing, windy, and absolutely frigid here today. Our neighbours built a snow maiden in the garden.

Can I come over?
