Shortly before his death, The Attorney's father and his wife took a European cruise-something they had done several times. When they returned, they gave her this crystal cat, reaching in the air. Neither The Attorney nor her father was a cat lover, so we thought the choice unusual. Yesterday I said I figured it was the piece with the most motion, and that was why they had chosen it. She cherishes this piece, as well as the other gifts he gave her during his lifetime. It sits on the mantel, back-lit now with blue lights. I should have dragged out the tripod and done it justice, and perhaps I will in the future.
