My friend, Anon, also known as "Class of '65" has requested photos of Crape Myrtles. Here are some.
I didn't like the light, so I had to play with a couple of them a little. But not the close up.

Now see, the top left is totally the crape myrtles I remember from the south. There are a few around here, but pffft. Nothing like the south. I always liked them a lot.

Thank you so much for the lovely photos! I'm not crazy about living here in the South... the humidity alone is enough to kill anyone! But the flowers and flowering shrubs are magnificent. And your photography is breathtaking. I look forward to your blog every day.

I totally love the flowers, they are so pretty and I have to admit that the spelling of crape - kills me, I always think of that word as being spelled crepe.
