114/365+1:Fringe

More Fringe, originally uploaded by Yankee T.

On April 8, I posted this uninspired and apparently uninspiring photo of my North American Fringe Tree-which is right in front of the Japanese Maple. I promised that on the birthday of my dear friend, Barby Doll, it would be in its glory.

Happy Birthday, Barby Doll.

Go here to see more pictures of this amazing tree, a housewarming gift from the inimitable Tall Pretty Blonde.

CGM: I had never seen one, either, until I moved here from New England. When TPB offered to buy us trees as a housewarming, we called a tree expert and told him we wanted a gorgeous maple for the fall and something spectacular for the spring. He suggested this tree. It has never disappointed. Those white fringies have the most incredible, light, lemony fragrance. This tree has brought me so much joy.
