53/365+1: Out To Breakfast

Out To Breakfast, originally uploaded by Yankee T.

My spouse, The World's Best Bleeding Heart Attorney (so named because she is exactly that) loves breakfast. Me? Not so much. I'm happy with an English muffin and a cuppa joe. Or nothing. But occasionally, we do go out for breakfast. Look how shiny clean the floor is in this restaurant. She was busy deciding on an omelet, and I was busy trying to get some decent photos. Everybody was happy.

You know, I don't really like breakfast either. Every time we go to brunch, I just get the granola and yogurt anyway. I'm on a quest to find New York City's best granola.

Breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out, but most days I don't eat much in the morning.

That floor looks dangerously shiny.

Ianqui, what used to be Nadine's at 99 Bank Street, which is no longer, I understand, had the best granola I have ever eaten. Also a ridiculous Amaretto French toast, not that I would ever eat anything that decadent. Ahem.

I am BREAKFAST GIRL!
Your picture makes me want to walk into it, pull out the chair at the table by the picture wall and sit and look at all of them!

Love the picture. I like a big breakfast if eaten late in the morning, then I can skip lunch - the brunch thing I guess. Wish my floors were as shiny and clean as that one...Shoot, now I am hungry.

Gorgeous picture. It could be an advertisement!

My hubby is not much of a breakfast eater either. I love a big breakfast! And then a nap!lol!

Not so much a breakfast girl here either...

...but the photo is outstanding.

I love how you captured the reflection and still managed to give us enough of the decor as well.

I love breakfast! And, I love this shot! It looks like a great place.

that just looks so wonderful!

i love breakfasts; the only trouble is that most of the yummers ones are far too big to eat. and i'm too cheap to want to pay for something so big.

if i was in charge of the universe, everyone would be able to get a 1-egg omlette, filled with just enough bacon/avocado/sour cream [or filling of choice], and a few good homefries, and an english muffin; nobody would have to order a meal sized to a linebacker who has been food-deprived for a week or so. < end rant >

That floor looks does look dangerous! I haven't been out for breakfast in ages, but that shot makes me want to go.

Love this shot.

I like breakfast, but not always first thing in the morning. But when we lived in NYC we went out to brunch almost every Sunday after church, and I loved that.

i am the antithesis of a morning person...and yet i adore breakfast. go figure. i would love to eat breakfast in this place, waking up slowly with multiple cups of fragrant coffee, deciding which delectable meal to indulge in.

Have to agree with you ... I find going out to breakfast takes me away from my beloved bowl of cereal. I loved your story today, and your picture is great; I love the composition and the space created by the open floor. I hope you found something on the menu you enjoyed! :)

Oh, I LOVE white-tablecloth breakfast places!!

And while I often get by with the English muffin/coffee, I DO love breakfast. A LOT.
