I've decided that since I work so close to the airport, I'm going to try to take some trips over there at lunch to get some photos. I liked the old-timey look of this.
That is a GREAT photo. You are inspiring me!
It has a great feel to it.
I love this shot.I I think you caught the light, which is a big thing and I have never, ever seen anything like this shoe shine stand.Maybe it exists only in places without much snow?
Gawdess-I remember shoe shine stands in Grand Central Station in NYC, too. Maybe it's an American thing? I think it's cool.
Great photo! any chance you'd be willing to use a blog that doesn't require all this sign-in stuff? It makes me crazy. Boy, am I grumpy today.--your crabby sis
I think my favorite thing about this shot is that little bit of color from the barber pole in the corner. It contrasts with the rest of the scene nicely, and yet is right in character with the mood.
Scriv-I love the barber pole, too. It's definitely my favorite component. I love how it ties in with the flag on the wall.
The floor is what makes the shot for me.
The lighting is great. A little bit of old timey at the airport. I love the lighting and the coloring. Fantastic job on this one!
