28/365+1:Painted Wall Series, Elvis Series-Corner Stores

This falls under both Painted Wall and Elvis-it is on a building on a corner, and the various business listed were all within 1 block of this building when it was painted. Sadly, Hound Cake, the dog biscuit bakery, didn't make it. It was Younger Daughter's favorite store. I pass by this every day going to and from work.

These murals are awesome! There are sure a lot of them.

In my gradschool city there was a mural artist who painted on retaining walls, but not this many.

There are a lot of them. And more to come. The next one, which will be hard to capture because I'll have to stand on the corner of a really busy street and try to get it between cars, is a beauty. Except it has a utility pole going up the middle.

I have this sense that Memphis is a painted city.
Looking forward to seeing the next installment.
You have such a good sense of "light"

love gawdess' characterization: "painted city."

this is a wonderful mural -- creative, boosting local business, but not your mother's yellow page ad.
